Walk-ins

A walk-in is for a customer who’s already in front of you with no prior booking. It creates an appointment that starts now, takes no deposit, and goes straight to In Progress — you take payment in-branch after the visit.

  1. On the Calendar, click Walk-in.
  2. Choose the customer (or add a new one), the service, and any add-ons.
  3. Pick a stylist, or leave it empty to add the walk-in to the waiting list.
  4. Click Start walk-in (or Add to waiting list if no stylist is chosen).

Only stylists qualified for the chosen service can be picked, and the modal shows the estimated duration as you build it.

  • With a stylist chosen — the walk-in starts immediately in In Progress and appears on that stylist’s calendar column.
  • Without a stylist — the walk-in goes to the Waiting strip at the top of the calendar until a stylist is free.

To seat a waiting walk-in, click Assign stylist on its row, choose a qualified stylist, and click Seat. The waiting time is shown so the front desk can prioritize.

If the stylist you pick is already booked at that moment, JustBook asks you to confirm a double-booking before adding the walk-in. Choose Add anyway to squeeze them in, or pick a different stylist.

Because a walk-in starts in In Progress, move it to Completed and settle the balance when the visit ends — see calendar and appointments for the status flow.
