Setting up as a venue
A venue account is the front door for a space where independent professionals work. It carries your branding and lists the people there, and sends clients to whichever of them they choose. It takes no bookings itself — see Booth rental on JustBook for why.
It’s free while every professional at your venue runs their own business.
Create the account
Section titled “Create the account”Sign up as normal (Create your business). On the first step you’re asked How does your business operate? — choose Booth rental, then I’m the venue.
The rest of signup is the same, and your account is created with the parts you don’t need switched off: no menu, no calendar, no payment setup. What you get is your branding, your page, and your list of professionals.
Set up your page
Section titled “Set up your page”Two things to do before you publish:
- Branding — your logo and colours, under Settings → Branding. This is what clients see first.
- A branch — your address and, if you like, your opening hours, under Settings → Branches. This is the place clients are coming to.
That’s all a venue needs to publish. Because you don’t take bookings, you’re not asked for a menu, providers or a payment method the way a salon is.
Invite your professionals
Section titled “Invite your professionals”Go to Settings → Professionals.
Each professional needs their own JustBook account first — send them Setting up as an independent professional. Once they have one, enter their JustBook address (the part before .justbookapp.com on their booking page) and choose Invite.
They accept from their own account, and they appear on your page. They can also send the request the other way — either of you can start it, and the other one accepts. Nobody appears on your page without agreeing to it, and nobody can list you without your agreement either.
Use the arrows to set the order they appear in. That’s your page, so it’s your call.
Publish
Section titled “Publish”Settings → Getting started shows what’s left. When your branding and branch are done, choose Publish and your page goes live at your JustBook address.
A professional shows on your page while two things are true: your link is accepted, and their own page is live. If one of them takes their page offline they drop off yours until it’s back — you’ll see them marked Not live yet in your list, so you’re never guessing.
If you take on someone employed
Section titled “If you take on someone employed”If you later employ a professional yourself — someone who works for you rather than for themselves — your account becomes a salon account with a normal plan, and everything a salon has (calendar, menu, payments) switches on.
JustBook asks you to choose a plan and add a payment method at the moment you add your first bookable professional. The independent professionals linked to your page aren’t affected and never count towards your plan: they’re separate accounts, paying their own way.
Your page then does both jobs: visitors can book with your own team the normal way, and the independent professionals stay listed in their own section — picking one still hands the visitor to that person’s own page, exactly as before.
Removing a professional
Section titled “Removing a professional”Either side can remove a link at any time, from Settings → Professionals.
Nothing else moves when you do. Their clients, bookings and payments were always theirs, so all that changes is that they stop appearing on your page.
