Add your team

To add someone to your business, open Team in the admin sidebar and select Add Team Member. You give them a role, decide whether they take appointments, and JustBook emails them an invite to set a password.

  1. In the admin sidebar, open Team, then select Add Team Member.
  2. Under Role & Access, pick a Role. The role decides what they can see and do — see permissions.
  3. Choose whether This team member takes appointments is on. Leave it on for a stylist who needs a bookable calendar; leave it off for a receptionist or a manager who only works inside the admin. You can change this later — see stylists and bookability.
  4. Enter their Full Name, Phone, and Email.
  5. Assign one or more Branches. A user only sees appointments, customers, and lists for the branches they’re assigned to — see branches. If your business has a single branch, it’s selected for you.
  6. Select Add Team Member. If they take appointments but you haven’t assigned any services yet, JustBook asks you to confirm — a stylist with no services can’t be booked online until services are assigned (you can do that later from their profile).

The account is created immediately. If you marked them as taking appointments, they are bookable right away — customers can book with them before they’ve even signed in.

Every team member has exactly one role. JustBook ships with four built-in roles — admin, manager, receptionist, and stylist — and an admin always has full access to everything. You can also create your own roles with a tailored permission set in Settings → Roles & Permissions — custom roles are included in every plan. See permissions for what each area unlocks.

The invite email — and why it might not arrive

Section titled “The invite email — and why it might not arrive”

When you add a team member, JustBook emails them a link to set a password and activate their login. Until they open that link and set a password, they can’t sign in (though they can already be booked if they take appointments).

Invite emails can occasionally not reach the inbox — a mail server accepting a message is not the same as delivering it. If a new team member says the invite never arrived:

  1. Ask them to check their spam or junk folder.
  2. Double-check the Email address on their profile is correct.
  3. Open their profile from Team and select Resend invite to send a fresh link.

If you add someone and the invite email can’t be sent at all, JustBook tells you so and keeps the account — you’ll see a note that the person is bookable now and that you can resend the invite from their profile once email is working. It never silently claims an email went out when it didn’t.

  • Edit details, role, or branches: open the person from Team and select Edit.
  • Set them up as a stylist / change bookability: see stylists and bookability.
  • Remove access: open the person and select Deactivate. This blocks sign-in and removes them from online booking; their history is kept, and you can Reactivate later.
