Marketing emails
Marketing (a Pro feature) lets you email the clients who said yes to hearing from you — one-off broadcasts you write yourself, and an automatic win-back email for clients who haven’t visited in a while.
Who can receive marketing email
Section titled “Who can receive marketing email”Only clients with a positive marketing opt-in. Clients opt in while booking online or in their client portal, and every marketing email carries a one-click unsubscribe link — an unsubscribe (or a bounced/complained address) stops all future marketing to that client automatically. You can’t override this, and neither can we: it’s what keeps your email reputation healthy.
Marketing email always sends from the dedicated marketing sender, never from the same address as booking confirmations, so promotions can’t hurt the deliverability of your transactional email.
Broadcasts
Section titled “Broadcasts”From Marketing in your admin sidebar:
- Compose — a subject and message. Use variables like
{{first_name}}to personalise, and paste your booking link on its own line to turn it into a button. - Choose the audience — everyone opted in, or narrow by client tag, last-visit window (for example “hasn’t visited in 90 days”), or services they’ve booked. You see a live count of how many clients match.
- Preview — send a test to your own inbox first.
- Send now or schedule — scheduled broadcasts can be cancelled any time before they send.
When you pick a time, it is read in the timezone of the device you’re using, and the dialog names that zone and shows the exact moment it works out to. If a branch sits in a different timezone, it also shows the same moment in the business’s local time — so “10:00” scheduled from a trip abroad doesn’t quietly land at the wrong hour for your clients.
After sending, the broadcast shows how many emails were delivered and how many bookings it generated — recipients who booked within 7 days of receiving it.
Monthly allowance and credits
Section titled “Monthly allowance and credits”Your plan includes a monthly marketing email allowance that resets at the start of each month. The Marketing page shows how much you’ve used and how much is left.
Once the allowance is gone, sends draw on marketing email credits, which you can buy from that same page. These are separate from the SMS and WhatsApp credits on Settings → Billing — deliberately, so a big promotion can never eat the credits that keep your appointment reminders going out. Credits never expire.
If a broadcast’s audience is larger than what’s left, you’ll be told before anything sends, so you can narrow the audience or top up first — a broadcast never goes out half-finished.
Win-back
Section titled “Win-back”Turn on win-back on the Marketing page and set two numbers: how many days without a visit makes a client “lapsed”, and the cooldown before the same client can be contacted again. Write the message for each channel there too. Win-back respects the same opt-in, unsubscribe, and allowance rules as broadcasts.
